SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess a true passion for nourishing others with healthy, beautiful meals

Work directly with Executive Chef on executing the culinary vision for the company

Accountable for all daily and weekly reports

Auditing product and inventory procedure to include waste controls, product variance, proper ingredient rotation

Ability to perform all procurement responsibilities to maintain ingredient standards and comply with allotted food cost budgets

Uphold commitment to all safety and sanitation practices

Display accurate and quick mathematical ability, strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel a plus

Understand and evaluate entire kitchen operation in a short amount of time

Responsible for assigning all tasks to appropriate employees to maximize product consistency and labor expense

Reliability, timeliness and punctuality are a way of life for the chosen chef

The chosen chef will not feel they have tasks or duties but instead has responsibilities and promises to fulfill

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Culinary degree preferred and Culinary discipline required

2-3 years direct experience as Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine expected , ServSafe certificate required.

Candidate will have work authorization for the United States of America

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervisory / Operations / Quality Control

Schedule: Full-time (50 hours per week during Thurs-Mon)

Shift: Day shifts only

Travel: No

Location: Malden, MA

The Foodery in Malden is an at-home meal delivery service driven by our passion for farm-to-table ingredients and creating amazing culinary experiences for our customers. We serve busy Boston families who demand high-quality food but don’t have time to shop, cook or meal plan.  We survey our customers weekly and get answers on how we can constantly improve. We run similarly to banquet style cooking operations or large catering events.  We are a highly organized, fast-paced operation using meticulous attention in our batch-scale recipes. Foodery teammates don’t have tasks, they have responsibilities and promises to fulfill.
